My students are bright, talented, enthusiastic, and hard working. While Marching Band displays the most spirit, they all take pride in how well they perform together. Our high school is public and located in California. The district, in offering an instrumental music program, provides my salary and an empty band room.
Having to rent or buy an instrument would make the program unaffordable for a number of the students. Our year old booster club had fundraiser for instruments, chairs, music stands, sheet music, etc.
